Good Bye My Friend... Something terrible happened recently. I found my friend Ray dead in his basement. What a terrible shock it was for me! Ray was only 53 years old.
I had been teaching Ray how to do certain things on his computer. The last thing we were working on was his 'all in one' scanner, printer & fax machine.
Ray's passing was so sudden & unexpected that it really didn't hit me until a few days afterwards. One of the most difficult things for me was having to tell his 85 year old mother that her son was dead.
Thank God that I found Ray & not his Mother. I think if she had discovered Ray dead she would have died on the spot-next to her only son.
This is the 2nd time I found a friend dead. For some reason it seems like I've been chosen to be these friend's 'envoy' to eternity.
Some people have said to me that "You're cursed or something" or "Wow, what bad luck you have had" etc...
However I don't feel this way at all. In fact, I feel blessed that I was able to be there & spare my fallen comrades families the terrible sight of finding their loved ones dead.
I'm getting over the shock & am even more determined than ever to realize my hopes & dreams.
Life is fragile. I know this all too well at this point in my life.
Live every day as though it is your last... For it may very well be.
God Bless You Ray! We'll meet again on the other side.
