Jeff Healey... I am very saddened to hear of the great guitarist, Jeff Healey's passing at the young age of 41. He was an inspiritaion who did not allow his blindness & life-long battle with cancer discourage him from realizing his aspirations.
I had only seen him perform once [as the opening act] for the Allman Brothers some years ago. Jeff was a brilliant player who played with his guitar on his lap. It was amazing how he was able to twist those blues licks & bend those 6 strings so effortlessly!
>When I met Pete Townshend a couple of years ago he had told me he became interested in Fender's 'Vibro King' guitar amplifiers after seeing Jeff Healey use them.
I'm sure everyone who ever saw Jeff perform was inspired by his tenacity & bravery in the face of adversity.
God Bless Jeff Healey!

How very sad, Ed. What a brave and inspirational man indeed. I didn't know he'd played with the Allman Brothers. They too have always been an inspiration to me. Thanks for this post Ed.
That aside, I hope you are doing well and playing lots of music. Do you have anything new in the repertoire these days? keep me posted won't you?
xxVal

Happy St. Paddy's Day! Hope you are well.
Hi Ed, hoping you have a Happy Easter this year, and that the months are flowing by rather than flying by.
Let us know that all is well with you soon. Take care and hugs for Easter, Va x
