Toxic People & the Art of Cutting Dead Branches... A fellow blogger inspired me to write this little rant, blant, etc... It's all about people who come into our lives & bring negativity into them. We've all had 'toxic' friends & most likely will continue to encounter these types. Why do these people come into our lives? More importantly, how do we get rid of them? We must first put toxic people into perspective. They are what we judge ourselves against. These individuals are what we are not. Secondly, we must pity these sad souls & realize that they are the ones that will ultimately bring upon their own demise. Once we have reconciled all this within ourselves, then it's time to cut the 'dead' branch from your 'life's-tree' swiftly. Do it as quickly as possible. Don't look back either or you'll turn to stone! (Just kidding) > Seriously though, as I've gotten older I've become quite adept at 'excommunicating' unproductive people from my life. I have to. After all.... there just isn't enough time!

Great post Ed!
You are right about these toxic people. Most of these toxic friend's lives are usually not good, and being their friend only drags you down with them. I have definately cut that branch off, but I wish I had done it sooner because of some of the shit I went through at the end.
I know that there will be other toxic friends in the future, but hopefully this time I've learned to spot them better and nip them at the bud.
Good work sir!!
Hi Ed,
Thanks for dropping by, it's good to know that someone else here knows exactly how it feels to be in the graphic design field. I also hate it when I get crappy pictures. But I gotta tell you that the worst thing is when I work really hard on an ad and make it look really good, but then the client decides to do the ad themselves thinking that it looks really good! Has that ever happened to you? It is so annoying! I did an ad for a pizza place, I picked a a few colors that compliment each other and added some flames on the bottom, and it looked really good! but that client thought she could make a better looking ad, so she did one herself and it looks like crap!
Right now, things are a little better. I will finally get paid, which has been delayed due to the mailman having a heart attack. My boss lives in a small town in a gated community and they only have one mailman.
My boss did tell me that the good things I do actually outweighs the bad, so that's good. She's not a bad person, but when we've got ads to do, I must get them done as quickly as possible.
Excellent words Ed. You have hit the nail on the head here and I couldn't agree more. Life's too short for negativity and productivity is so much more worthwhile!
Here here!!
